    I have a 2011 Tacoma.
Time to trade it in on a 2015 Tacoma.
I want to start buying stuff for the new truck.
    Alarm system.
    Lift kit.
    rims and tires
    etc.

are the 2015's the same as the 2014's? the 2011's? as far as suspension... I want to get the 2 1/2" spacer for the front and a block AND aal for the rear. I carry a lot of crap.
I don't see much on line for 2015's, but everything is available for the 2014's, so my question is, will a lift kit for a 2014 Taco fit on a 2015 Taco?

    TIA

    thanks guys.
    not worried about the ride.
I carry 500 pounds of crap in the bed and it tends to soften the ride up a little.
I have this setup on my 2011.
I will never take it off road, it is a work truck, all freeway miles. I just like to sit high and see over the cars in front of me. And I like the look. I still get a lot of compliments on my 2011.
As a plus I can blind sport cars that cut me off. haha

Man do yourself a favor and get some new leafs for the back. It will be worth it in the long run if you plan on keeping the truck for a little bit.

If this is directed towards me: With the amount of lift he wants and he says he carries a lot of shit a set of dakars or all pro expo leaves would be a nice edition. You may say you don't care about the ride now but in a few years of getting beat to death by your truck your mind could change.

I want a new truck because I have 120,000+ miles on the 2011. I know they are good for 200-300,000 but I use this truck for work and I get nervous when it gets over 100,000 miles. It's just me.

    today is the day. WOHOO!
The dealer is giving me 13,000.00 trade in for my 11 Tacoma with 122,000 miles on it.
I owe 5,000.00 so there is the down payment. I am taking my rims off the 11 to put on the 15, and putting the original 17" wheels back on the 11 to trade in.
I should be picking up a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport, 4 door, long bed, 2 wd, magnetic grey with all the bells and whistles. I already have the lift kit, tube steps, alarm, K&N intake, snug top for the bed, and a bunch of other crap ready to go. Guess what I'm doing for the next couple of weekends... good thing I've got a shop.

I carry around 5-600 lbs in my truck bed, in 2 boxes. Let me recommend Firestone air bags, they are almost infinitely adjustable. I have 5100 Bilstein and Old Man Emu 885 springs up front and Wheelers HD 3 leaf AAL. Truck handles the weight well.

and get rid of those goofy mud flaps
    and install the tube steps
    and install the alarm
and replace all the bulbs with LED's
    and and and
    and update my pictures

    HELP!!!
I am trying to install a Viper 3305 alarm into my 2015 Tacoma. I got as far as trying to locate the 2 wires that control the power door locks. I metered just about every wire under the dash and in the driver side kick panel. I cannot find a wire that changes state when the door locks operate.
    Anyone???
C'mon, I need someone smarter than me (for once) haha

OK so apparently I am the smartest one here. I found the wires in the passenger side kick panel. There are about a fourth of the wires there that are on the driver side so they were easier to find. Whew! All done with my 2 way alarm.
Tomorrow is the 2 1/2" lift and tube steps. Than I can put my rims and tires on and if I have time, the K&N intake. This is the fun part.

Does anyone have an opinion on this? My truck has like 135 miles on it. I bought a K&N intake system. Should I wait until the engine is broken in to install it? Or install it and let the intake system and the engine and computer get used to each other during the break in period? I'm torn.

I would have to wonder if a K&N air system at this stage of the game would invalidate your warranty. Ask your dealer.

I was going to say that, but refrained in order to avoid being assaulted by those who believe they do.

I decided to wait on the K&N intake until the truck is broken in.

    New Topic:
To de-badge or not to de-badge, that is the question.
The TRD Sport decal is coming off, that's a given.

    The choices are:
    1. leave them alone
    2. paint them black
    3. take them off.

On a Magnetic Grey truck I think I am leaning towards de-badging. I am toying with the idea of cutting the Tacoma tailgate badge so it reads Taco, painting it black and putting it back on.
    Any thoughts? Too ghetto?
I think de-badging everything looks the cleanest.
I kind of like the clean sleeper look.

also, on a side note, I lifted my truck 2 1/2" the other day.
A front spacer and a 1" block and AAL in the back.
My tires and rims that I saved from my 11 Tacoma fit even better on the 15.
I had to cut some plastic on the 11, nothing on the 15. I removed the goofy mud flaps of course.
And to everyone telling my that the ride will stiffen up if I use blocks - SO WHAT.
This is a truck. It is not supposed to float like a 1975 El Dorado, in my humble opinion. I like that it rides a little stiffer now. Like it should.

I installed my K&N high flow intake system yesterday.
    1840 miles on the 2015.
I don't know why you guys say it doesn't do much.
I felt a difference immediately. It seems more responsive and it sounds quite different now. When I get on it I can really hear it now. That will help me to save gas right there. haha Well I like it anyway, no matter what all you nay sayers say.
