I've put the 5100's on at 1.75", and a 1.5" aal in the rear. Now I've got the a drone/vibration that can be felt in the steering wheel and gas pedal as well as heard(it sounds kind of like mud tires but I've got non agressive AT tires).

I took it to a local shop and the tech drove it and said it sounded just like his FJ when he put a lift on it. He said its probably the CV's because of the mileage(150,000) and putting the lift on changed the angles. He said he would just drive it like it is. I dont think they really want to mess with it.

From what I've picked up on here, if I want to get rid of the noise I need to replace the CV's and put new diff bearings like the one's from ECGS in.

So I would need 2 diff bearings and seals, and 2 CV axles and boots. Is that all you need to do them, and where would you take it to have it done? A transmission shop, or just a good local mechanic?

I didn't pretty much the same lift, I ended up having to do the ECGS bushing. Easy way to tell if that is what you need, when you hear the noise switch on your 4x4, if the noise/vibration goes away you need the ECGS bushing.

I took it straight to an alignment shop, and the numbers were all in spec. I'll post them if I still have them.

It seems like it mosty goes away in 4 wheel drive. From reading other posts here that points straight to the needle bearing. It's only the drivers side that gets replaced right?
