My 07 is good for the leaf pack recall. I have the three pack non-tsb with the toytec aal. Will the aal void the recall? If it doesnt would they put the aal back on? I know its doubtful but thought I would ask. :D

I snapped my stock 3 leaf pack last Sunday. 1.5" block under the pack.

Just got new 4 leaf packs from dealer this last week.

Recall is a recall, they know their part was defective.

You're all talking like the recalls already been decided. There's no remedy yet so nobody even know if the fix will be a new leaf pack our not, or if everybody that qualifies for the recall will get the same fix.

    Took my truck in monday.

Local dealer talked with "corporate" for a couple days. Got my truck back on Friday with brand new leaf packs.

Yours was broken already, im just saying for people with unbroken springs don't get your hopes up. Like oz just said, it might just be a retainer clip or something.

Shit, I see what you're saying now. I hope it's not just a clip.

I have an 08 taco 4wd sr5 four door w/108K Mi. and notice that whenever I add about 500# load in the bed it "bottoms" almost constantly. Also happens whenever I drive on rough dirt roads (not really aggressive stuff). I replaced a 97 taco that did not have this problem and wonder what I should do to improve the load carrying without severely affecting the ride?
Replace springs or add a leaf? Install Bill 5100s?

    Thanks all

Did you ever get the "new" leaf pack about 3 years ago that was supposed to address this? There's a TSB out for it you you go digging through the TSB thread.
