Unless I'm totally being stupid and missing something...

Your truck came with manual windows? I didn't know they still did. Do you have a 2wd base or something?

I was thinking there was some other roll down window I didn't know about (kind of how the Tundra's back window roll down) that they got rid of lol

^Good portion of regular cab models up until 2014 had roll-up windows. Kinda funny to see it alongside a 7" screen head unit in the same interior.

    ^^^ weird! lol

Sorry I got confused. I'm used to seeing "manual windows" vs "power windows". Since technically all windows "roll up"

Access cabs are a great excuse not to have to cart a bunch of people around.

Although not rare in the "True" since of the word, they are rare in that real men drive "Access Cabs" most 4doors are driven by (& I hate to say this) but by men that may be a little "Henpecked" after all, the 4dr is really an "Older persons" mode of travel, & many women do not want to see there "Man" driving around in such a sexy machine as the AccessCab, (keep in mind I am well into my senior years) Kind of like the "57" chev, the 2dr is a must have,,, the 4dr,, well,, not so much!,,,, Access cab is where it is at!!! jmop

I just did a dealership search in my area and there isn't even one access cab in inventory. I see a dozen Tacos a day on the roads but maybe 1 AC a week. I don't understand why so many choose the quad cab when it has such a small bed. I am sure many people never use the bed but I do and for me the short bed is useless.

I need the full length bed but don't want the length of the DCLB. Acces cab is perfect for me

In Texas the quad cab pickup (all makes) has become the family car in many cases. Not unusual to see young families traveling in them. As for the short bed on the DCSB, it's probably all that most of them need. As an "empty nester," the AC fit the bill for me. I prefer its looks and bed length, and don't need to haul more than myself and one other person a large majority of the time.

Although the DCSB still outnumbers the other body styles, there are still a large number of ACs.

I wonder how the road noise is? When I ride with my rear seats down it's pretty loud.

Why do you like driving with the back window open?

I miss my old access cab, but the family fits much better in the double cab.
