To anyone deciding where to buy 5100's, DO NOT buy from CARid. I got an email confirmation that BOTH front and back shocks were shipping together and they got the same tracking number. What did I get in the mail today? Just rear shocks. Pissed off, I call CARid. The guy says, "the front shocks are on backorder and you will not get them til January 16." I immediately cancelled the order.

    Thanks for posting this.

I got my 5100s installed yesterday. Headstrong Offroad, Chas of MRT both have 5100s in stock.

CA residents can avoid taxes buying from Chas, as Headstrong is in SoCal.

Ya just fronts and around $200. I don't remember the exact price off the top of my head. Shoot them and email to get a quote.

I will be calling them shortly. Didn't think it would be this difficult to get some damn shocks.

I paid $205 for the pair with shipping and CA sales tax from Headstrong. You should PM Chaa of MRT also, he might be cheaper.

I was messaging Chas earlier this week and he said they were available. I called his company and the guy I spoke to said Chas was out of town for the weekend and they are fresh out of front 5100's.

So I called headstrong. They are currently fresh out as well. They said they are in the process of getting a set of 15 more shocks that'll come in on a truck from Colorado. They said it'll be another week til they get them in. I made it on their list to reserve a pair, so that's where I'm at. Probably won't get them for a few weeks, but that's better than a couple months.

Yeah Marie was who I spoke to as well. Nice lady. Now I'm sitting here with 4 new tires and 2 rear 5100's looking like an idiot. haha. Patience is a virtue I guess.

I ordered from them. Got an email estimated ship date was Oct 28th. On the 31st i emailed and asked if mine had shipped. They told me estimated ship date was Oct 30th. And it took 24 hours for them to get tracking information. An hour later I get an email saying that they have an estimated shipping date of mid January. I cancelled my order.

I ordered from another place. I emailed them first and they told me their distributor had them in stock. I guess we will see. Will not be surprised if I have to cancel this order too.

.85. Ride is firm and very planted, not sure yet if its any more bouncy than the stock struts. I like them so far.
