Nice rig! I actually like rake but wouldn't mind coming up just a tad in the front. What is your setup? Did you have center hub to fender measurements to share?

 

Can't remember the measurement off the top of my head, would have to remeasure. Lift is Toytec ultimate set to 3" in the front and corrected for lean. Dakars in the back with SOS Shackle Flip and stock shackles. Shock relocate to follow with fox 2.0.

I like the look of some rake..I think it looks more aggressive....just wish I was about 1/2 in higher up front. I really like the rear height and ability to confidently tow my 23 ft center console without sagging. She weights 4500 not including the trailer tongue weight.

Bottom line...I spent last weekend putting in the front coils and decided that I would just bite the bullet and pay to have The rear springs put in.....and alignment done. Either way I'll wait till the rear springs settle after this winter and then decide.....just trying to have all my ducks in a row.

I'm not ruling out pulling the AAL...I would prefer to just get more height out front. I don't know maybe I'm stubborn.

I have the regular Dakar pack , carry a constant 450 lbs between my tools and cap and haul heavier loads ( building material and firewood ) and find the regular pack works great for what I do , having said that , I may add the

d29xl to bump up my rear height a bit . I think you would be fine with the regular pack as you don't seem to carry constant extra weight and the regular pack would most likely perform well for your towing needs .

Just another option for you .

Front coils are new too...so they will settled as well?

 

People are using .85 settings on Bilstein 5100s and almost leveling the front end on a 3 leaf pack, and 4 leaf packs are 1.75 settings and a little nose high.

So definitely not 2-2.5 inches of rake at least so far as I have seen. 1-1.5 inches is much closer to reality, but I could be wrong.

My truck has just over 1" of rake with OME 887's in front and Dakars out back. At first I thought I wanted it to be level, but I've gotten used to the small amount of rake. Unless you never haul anything there isn't any reason to stress about it. 3" seems like a lot though. As others have mentioned get some hub to fender measurements.

 

Which ring do you have the clip on on your 5100's?

 

There are three rings visible ABOVE the ring that the collar sits on now.....they are set up how TOYTEC sends them out....I'm assuming this means set at .85

.85 + 1.6 ( Eibachs ) should get you approx 2 3/8" of lift

 

Damn TOYTEC....they told me that they come preset with 3 inches of lift....WTF?

Is it just me or has the service got worse with their growing popularity?

Is it better to get them set at .85 or add a 1/4 inch spacer?
