    Hey Guys,

Need some advice, just picked up this sweet 2012 Taco Dbl Cab TRD Offroad 4x4 with the 6spd manual. A few light pins tripping and some bug tarnish on the front bumper, but otherwise a flawless truck.

Previous owner installed a 3" Rough Country spacer lift, along with Cooper ATP 285/75/16E tires on TRD rims. Looks badass, but coming from an expedition type build on my old 04 Xcab w/ new leaf packs, struts, etc. etc., the ride in the '12 with this kit/tires just doesn't do it for me.

    Two options I'm leaning towards:

    1. Drop the tire size to 265/75/16E (got an offer of $500 for my old Coopers), remove the spacers and return to more of a stock look until the suspension can be done right. .

    2. Keep the tires, and go with some type of Toytec coil over kit, and OME rear packs in the next year or so.

The biggest reason for the change is not necessarily the suspension, but because the MPG I think are suffering at around 15-16, ride quality, and I worry that the bigger 285's won't be as good in the snow.

    Thoughts?

    Some stuff...
My vote is Option 1 - do it right & apply the five-hundy to a good, quality CO & rear leaf-pack combo (ICON, King, Fox, or Billies + Dakars out back), but that's just what I would do. Nice looking stable BTW. :D

Do it right the first time. Option one is your best bet IMO.

Thanks guys, yeah I got the new BFG KO2's ordered in the 265/75's size. Those go on tomorrow, and will likely take out the block lifts shortly there after.

I live in the snow belt, and 285's just don't make sense being that wider is bad for ice/snow. That and the rubbing issues, MPG, etc. I'll post up pics after the new tires, looking forward to testing them out.
