I live in in Norcal where I know we get more rain than you do in Pacific Beach. I've also spent a lot of time in the South where they actually get rain.

The suggestion that Californians know how to drive is the funniest thing I've read all week. Californians are IDIOTS as soon as it starts raining. Windshield wiper on = brain off (in california).

A lilo of people on here are knocking the wet traction of the duratracs... I haven't had any problems at all with that and we've had some pretty significant rain here lately...

How many miles do the tires have. Mileage seems to be a factor. Mine weren't near as bad when they were newer, but now with 30 - 35k miles they are terrible on wet roads.

Not to be confused with cutting through deep water. The huge tread these tires have cut through water well, but fail to grip the pavement when wet. Raining or not.

i have 26k miles on my 265/70r17 duratracs. they have been great tires. very good in rain, 'good' in snow but NOT a snow tire by any means. They are holding up very well with about 1/2 or more tread left at 26k miles. took a ton of weights to balance them.

my next tire will be a hankook dynapro ATM. lighter, quieter, heard they balance well, and better in snow.

Nothing major planned, this is my daily driver. - replaced stock tires with Cooper AT3s - added Husky WeatherBeater floor mats - installed Access Original bed cover - installed Gentex 453 mirror and the included external temp sensor, also has Homelink and auto-dim - installed ImMrYo mirror bracket - hose clamp mod and washer mod to secure tailgate, with a GateKeeper lock installed over the hose clamp - replaced stock reverse lights with Philips Halogen 30w from Home Depot GY6.35 base
I'm in Minnesota. My mechanic also sells tires and really likes the Cooper AT3, so I put them on to replace the horrible OEM Tires on my '14 Tacoma.

I really like the AT3 in the snow (and overall) - they did a great job last winter.
