Seems like you only hear that bad reviews about stuff AFTER you buy it, so if anyone has some bad experiences with Duratracs please share.... I will be getting new tires soon and Duratracs seem like the best option right now. I have 20" rims and am going with a 33" tire.

Yes. No. Maybe. You don't tell us anything about your priorities or how you're planning on using them so it's difficult to say.

You live in Minnesota so a "snowflake/mountain" labelled tire seems like a good option.

I have ran a few different sets of Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson tires and always been happy with them. I would suggest checking out the Dick Cepek Fun Country Tires. They are a similar Aggressive A/T style as the duratracs.

We have duratracs on our company vehicles and they are okay, they seem to do decent in the rain, and okay in the snow. I did notice after i got them, they feel like they roadwalk ALOT more than the goodyears that were on there before. It was actually so bad that i thought they didnt tighten up the lugs and i took it back, noticed it within the first two miles of driving them. Its a decent tire but i would not put them on my vehicle. I live in west virginia so we have it all snow/rain/dry/mud/ loose rocky gravel roads. They roadwalk on the gravel roads pretty bad as well.

doesnt sam's or cosco sell a trail hog or something that is almost the same tread pattern? that alone would cause me to look at a clone anyway. i think u can only get duratracs in C rated or higher also which may or may not be an issue for u, but IMHO there are some good looking mud tires for less that will out perform them OR and be little to no more noisy.

Very happy with my duratracs. Great traction in the snow. Never any problems in the rain. Significantly better traction then stock. I tore one inner sidewall in 50k miles but discount tire replaced it for free. I don't do much off road in rocks though. Mostly logging roads with mud.

Yep...this is pretty much my experience with them. OP, go look at the Toyo RT or Cooper Maxx's.

I've had mine for over 3 years, and it's true that they do get more noisy over time. I'll replace mine next year with something less noisy but good traction. :D

Really? I have no issues at all with duratracs during the monsoon. And we probly get more rain in a day than cali has seen in two years.

Yeah we haven't gotten much rain. Northern CA got like a half a day of rain a few weeks ago and my Duratrac's were slipping all over the place driving through town. Highway is fine for me, noise could be an issue though.

Probly oil on the road causing you to slip. Duratracs absolutely shine in the rain IMO.
