I just had the timing cover gasket replaced on my 2006 V-6. I'm REALLY glad I got the extended warranty coverage when I bought the truck with 114,000 miles on it. The Dealer in Knoxville did the job, and charged me $109, which was the deductible and tax. :)
When I asked the cashier how much the bill would have been without the warranty, I was shocked when she said it would have been close to $1200.00!
Is that right, or is someone nuts, or what?
Also, the warranty coverage even paid for the rental replacement Camry for the time the Taco was in the shop, so that saved me another $35.
They replaced the Oil Pump Gasket, the oil strainer gasket, the air surge gasket, several cylinder gaskets(?), some "O" rings, and perhaps the oil pan gasket.
Anyone else had this done? Just curious...
