Anybody ever take their Taco in to have a dead mouse removed from the ventilation system and how much it costs? I have a 2013 2.7 liter SR5 package and this past week when I turned on the heater I noticed this God awful smell! I took the cabin filter out and removed the blower but can't see or feel anything but I can sniff it.I have had the worst luck with these things dying in my heating systems, just a few weeks ago a mouse crapped in my gas furnace and had to smell that for about a month and its just now starting to diminish.I can't think of any other place to get to where I can find it without removing the whole dashboard.I also looked in the air filter housing but its clean as a pin.

Go Rhino D2 Stainless Steel steps, Gator FX3 Tonneau Cover, in bed battery powered Led light, Pop and lock power tailgate lock, keyed locks for all 5 storage compartments, in window channel rain deflectors, front hood bug deflector, weather tech floor mats. More to come...
Hopefully you have less than 24,000 miles and less than. 2 years on it. Take it in and complain about the ventilation system not working right... Make them figure out the problem and solution.

Finding and removing dead rodents is not covered under the warranty.... If the OP goes to the dealer, they'll charge him hard for it.

For 5-6 years I was removing a dead mouse from my wife's Tacoma and later 4 Runner every couple months. They were always right in the blower motor. She changed jobs and it hadn't happened again for 10 years. But something must have recently got into her Venza. She hit the defrost a month or two ago and all kinds of black plastic dust/debris came out the vents. No smell though, and nothing in the blower housing or cabin filter....

Pretty sure I might be dealing with the same issue. There'll be days where I get in the truck and it smells like old banana ass. Cleanest interior you'll find in a 1st gen

Ya, come on guys, what is that old saying "An ounce of prevention,,,,??" I realize that in some cases mice can be a real problem, get rid of the food source & nesting areas will really help, ya gotta stay on top of these things, clean those sheds!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My garage isn't that clean... but it is where I keep my truck and is not accessible to mice when I have the door shut.

Having an Egyptian Mau cat doesn't hurt, either. Anything that moves anywhere near my house gets killed. Even rabbits.

I just found cat vomit in my basement that looks like the remnants of a mouse.

There are no holes in my garage. Not the door, not the walls, and even the side door I attached a seal to the bottom to get rid of the gap there.

A mouse would have to create a hole somewhere... and the cat won't allow that. :D
