Just bought a 12 Taco double cab L/B. I am a little weary of the factory anchor points for securing my dirt bike? What have you done to address this?

I've used the bed rail cleats without issue. If I was hauling every weekend I might look into a better system. For now, the cleats work just fine.
I think some people crank the shit out of their straps, which causes issues with their cleats.

I use those cleats on my '13 to haul dirtbikes all the time with no issues. They're much more solid and sturdy than the bedrail cleats. I put two bedrail cleats about 3" apart, roll my front tire in between them, install the fork saver, and tighten down the straps.

If you swing your rear tire and close the tailgate, you can use a third strap from the subframe to one of the anchors at the rear of the bed. Otherwise, you could use two other straps from the subframe to each of the rear anchors. Use either of these methods and your bike won't budge!

I use them all the time no problems. You will need a lot more than a dirt bike tie down to rip one of those out.

I have seen the JP metal corner brackets and thought that was a good alternative. Thanks for the feedback fellas. Good points and suggestions. I wish they would have included the D ring hooks in the front of the bed like they do in the rear? That seems like an oversight.

I too use the JP metal corner brackets. Local guy who I ride with makes them.

I did the extra d ring mod, and use them for my dirtbike. Just do it and get it over with! It's only about 10 bucks plus shipping for two of the beefy dodge ones. Very easy to install them and you will never have to worry about your bike or bikes in the bed.

Your tie down bars look awesome, if I had the extra cash I would pick one up in a heartbeat.
