New Member Here. Opinions on Truck.

Ive been doing a lot of research. But I found a Silver 08 DC 4x2 with just the regular sr5 package and chrome hubcaps and 10100 miles. Negotiated it for 21000 Out the door. Does that seem decent. Also, did you guys buy an extended warranty? Im going tonight to finalize all the paperwork. Thanks for the time.

 

Damn it has a lot of miles for a 08! you can get em lower IMO

My 08 has 16,000 and thats still very low.

Yeah, It took me forever convince them that I was not doing 21500 walk out. They kept on and on and on. Finally after them telling me they couldnt do it, I said okay and my girlfriend and I were walking to the car, they didnt want me to leave. By this time it was 930pm and we had to go no matter what. So they finally agreed to the 21 and I told them I would go back today. But Ive been thinking about it all night. Saw the carfax on it, and everything checked out. It showed that the dealer got it from auction. The Truck came from Cerritos, California. So Im pretty sure it was a repo.

 

Welcome to TW! I think you got a fine price on the truck but IMO I would not buy the extended warranty. The dealer markup of those should be considered theft. On a truck with only 10,000 miles on it you will be fine for years and years to come. If you like the security and safety of the warranty then get it but from a financial perspective its not the best. Just my 2 cents.

Paid about that for my NEW acess cab in '05 (4x2). 10k in miles is nothing, i've got 77k. Sounds good, just make sure your good with it.
It has hubcaps? bleh. I'm sure you can find some wheels around though

 

Comes with Hubcaps? I don't think I've seen any DC's with hubcaps... PICTURES ?

LOL. Man, if your DC really comes with Chrome Hubcaps, I'd have to say you got ripped off unfortunately..

 

Check KBB.com or edmunds and get the value on it based on the year, mileage and options. 10,000 is not much, I just turned 14,000 on my '08 this week so not too bad. The price though might be a little high for a used, or rather previously enjoyed '08. Good luck, what dealer is this and do they have pics online to look at?
