Well I recently purchased a Tacoma and now time for some upgrades.. I'm going for a 3" lift with 33s, double DIN head unit with dual 10" subs, possibly steel bumpers front and back with sliders and a winch, and some extras. I've got some questions about my upcoming upgrades and I'd like some input. Not sure if this is the right thread for this, if not someone please redirect me.

Anyhow how first off I'm looking for a dual 10" sub box. Been doing some searching around and from what I found you have to remove metal brackets for the box to fit. Is there any boxes that don't require altering metal parts besides removing the plastic storage? If not are those metal brackets important at all? I only had the truck for a couple days before I flew out to camp for work so I haven't done much looking around back there.

    Thanks in advance.

Is it just the 3 hooks I would have to remove for a dual 10? Or is there more?

went to do mine today. Glad I had that Marlin seat as the factory one was no longer there. I guess it got ground into the trans over the years. Used jb weld on the shifter and it is about a half inch shorter. Will re install to marrow and test.
