    Hello
I have a 2008 Tacoma and will be installing a brake controller. It has the towing package.
Does any one have a pic of the plug were you install the brake controller?
Are there any video how too's?
How hard are they to install?
    What is the best unit.
I will be towing a 2-horse/ double axle trailer. GRVW 7,000
    Thank for all your help

Do you have the pigtail wiring harness - should have been in a ziplock in your glove compartment.

Check with dealership/online - connects EVERYTHING for a brake controller - easy, maybe even find it on eBay.

    Found the pig tail.
I was also looking for the location that the pig tail plugs into.

The plug is by the left kick panel. I have an auto trans, and it is right by the parking brake mount.

It will be just hanging, but if yours is like mine, its tucked up and well hidden. Its a white connector body, up above the side kick panel left of the footrest / dead pedal. Twist your head around backwards, and cram yourself in there and you should find it in no time. ;) It will seem easy once you find it.:)

Google it on You Tube, there are several videos showing the install. Plug is sometimes buried behind the wire bundle and pretty hard to find, but it is there.
