Ya know when a pen is open in your pocket, and the ink goes through the pocket, onto the outside of your pants, and finally onto your car seat... Yeah, that happened. Any ideas how to get it off the seat?

Pilot G-2 pen, if that makes a difference.

I have seen Katzkins, and Clazzio's side by side. And I think for 390.00 shipped to your door. It's a lot cheaper than the overpriced Katzkins. I am not a neoprene fan so I wouldn't know about those. But I'll stick with Clazzio's. Like anything else though to each their own.

Best cleaner I've used is Tough Stuff but I don't think it would take ink out. I liked the other posters idea of calling the pen maker and asking them.

For what it's worth I love my Wet Okoles

When you bought the truck, did it include the Vehicle Shield Package? It was described to me as "...if you get a stain on the interior fabric, it'll cover cleaning/replacing the fabric..." Of course I took that with a huge grain of salt, but it'd be interesting to see if they would take care of this. That is, if you have it.

Dammit, I was afraid this might be the only answer...

No Vehicle Shield Package, I probably laughed when dealer offered it.

I visited Pilot's website and they recommended a couple different products. Going to try 'the only stain-remover recommended by Sharpie' (Amodex) as soon as temps get above freezing. Will report

OK I went to the Pilot website and this is what they said.

How do I remove ink from clothing?

Firstly, avoid washing the soiled clothing before removing the stain, which risks permanently setting the ink.
There are several tips for removing ink from clothing:

    - Spray hair spray on the stain, blot away the surplus spray using a clean cloth or absorbent paper, then wash normally.

    - Soak your clothing in hot milk for several hours, rinse in plenty of water then wash normally.

    - Place the article on a clean white cloth and dab the stain with another white cloth soaked in white vinegar or 90% proof alcohol. Wash normally.

Here is another one from Yahoo
Remove Pilot pen ink will be difficult to impossible to remove. You can try and you might get lucky, but don’t hold you’re breath for too long.

But before throwing ur trousers u can try these things it worked with me.Hope it worked with u also.

The first solution to try is rubbing alcohol. Place the clothing on top of a clean white towel. Be sure to test in a hidden spot before applying rubbing alcohol to the ink stain. Blot rubbing alcohol onto the stain. The towel underneath will become wet and discolored from the ink. Be sure to move the garment to a clean dry section fo the towel as this happens. Continue until no more ink stain can be removed. Make sure you rinse the stained area completely free of the rubbing alcohol.

Next try fingernail polish remover. Blot in the same way as you did with the rubbing alcohol, moving the stained area to a clean dry section of a towel as the ink stain is removed. Rinse thoroughly.

As a last resort, you can try acetone, although this doesn’t do well with a lot of fabric types and cannot be used on acetate and rayon fabrics. Test first in a hidden spot. Apply the acetone in the same way as the rubbing alcohol and fingernail polish remover. Remember to rinse thoroughly.

Next, try rubbing baking soda mixed with water into the ink stain. Rinse thoroughly.

Apply a stain stick, gel, or spray to the ink stain and wash according to the fabric directions.

If the ink stain still remains after washing, try repeating the baking soda step again before rewashing and drying.

Here are some more ideas from the internet:

    Removing Blue Ink
Goo Gone makes a product just for ink. It works great! takes ink out of clothes that have gone through the dryer and took it out of my couch. Its hard to find in stores but you can find it on line.Iit sell anywhere from3.99 to 4.99 for a 2 oz bottle.

    -*-

I had a pen explode in my ski coats pocket last winter, didn't realize I had ink on my hand and unzipped the zipper and got it every where. It took several times of rewashing but I used goo gone, and lots of oxiclean powder. I would put goo gone on, and then rub the powder in with my fingers and then wash it then do it again and again until it was all out. I think it might have came out of jeans or cotton easier, because the coat was somekind of brushed, waterproof material.

    -*-

Either Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol or a high proof drinking alcohol (vodka) will work for this. We recommend isopropyl because it is so cheap.

I just tried the alcohol suggestion, and it works slicker than hist (rearrange the letters if you get my drift). I had to use it on the whole dryer 'cause someone, not me, left two blue gel pens in his jean pockets.

For the person with asthma, if you just need to do a few shirt pockets, just do it in a well ventilated area and you shouldn't have any problems.

Debbie, be prepared to go thru a lot of alcohol and a LOT of paper towels. Also, I would suggest wearing gloves. Not for the alcohol drying out your hands, but for the ink that will end up on them. (Um, I know this from experience now.) Also, be aware that the ink will redeposit on other areas from the paper towel, so use new ones often. Also, come up for air often. More than likely you'll have to practically crawl in the dryer to get to some areas.

Have yet to try alcohol on the jeans. Hopefully that will work too.

Oh, one more thing, it works better if you can put it in some kind of spray bottle, then you can just spray and wipe.

Sorry to be so long winded. Hopes this helps.

If these don't work buy some seat covers. I have Clazzios.
