    Thank you again for the information. I saw your original post on page 1 as well, so I'm glad to know the differences between the Sport and Off-Road, it was harder to understand the differences for a guy like me who isn't that mechanic savvy.

    DavidK The hood scoop is not "fake" it is definitely stamped in the sheet metal not merely an attachment. It is not "functional" in the sense that it does anything for performance, but to some it is a nice styling cue harkening back to "the day"

    Sorry... fake was wrong... it is really there, and not a mirage... it just't do anything that a true hood scoop is made to do (ie. scoop the air into the engine compartment).

    When off roading, the over-the-visibility is important, and that scoop is a bump that I would not want in the way to see as I am cresting a grade.

    The scoop does sell the Sport truck, as most love it there even if it doesn't scoop air.

    Those are both OFF ROADs... and as such have A-TRAC and a locker.
