How much tire can it handle?

No negative waves here!

 

Tried to find it, but couldn't...have read several places that the Baja & Pro wheels have a -10mm offset to give a wider stance...not real good on the conversions but seems that would be less back spacing than the normal I would guess about 1-1.5" less depending on which wheel you compared it to as most posts I have seen show a plus 20-30mm offset on the stock wheels listed which would be 4.5-5 inches bs. The 17's on my Tundra are 4.75" BS

 

255/85/16 or something. 255/80/17

Umm yes. For offroad situations taller skinner tire is better than a wider tire.

Sure read the reports. But i will rock a wider tire because it looks better and i go to the desert and beach.

Whatever works for you. Wider is only better if you are going in "deeper than frame" sand or mud.
