So I can only go wider not bigger? 295/75R16 would be too big unless i lifted it about 2"-3"?

Would it fit on a TRD 16.5 rim?

Narrow tires have better traction than wide tires.

    enough to go over stuff
265/70/17 or 265/75/16 if you remove the mud flaps.

I have 285/70/17s with a 3 inch lift and I had to cut the steel cab mount, flatten the pinch weld on the body, and cut a corner or the fender and I still rub.

"Raptor Style" grill mod, aftermarket wheels, 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities, TRD Shoulder pads on seat belts, no mud flaps, AVS Hoodflector bug shield *removed*, Dee Zee Ultrablack Bull Bar w/ license plate mount, dipped my fuel door for no reason, N-Fab Spare tire mount w/ full size matching spare, dipped eyelids onto my headlights for no reason, dipped my hood for no reason
I've got 265/75/16s with no lift. I had to take my mud flaps off.

...but it depends on the wheel. With a 16x8 4.5 BS you'll rub (ask me how I know). Others using stock 16x7 5.5? BS report no rubbing if you remove the mud flaps. I'm still wondering about 16x7.5 ?? BS that come stock with the Baja.

Bzzzzzzzzt. Common belief, but compleeeeeetely wrong. But thanks for playing and spreading misinformation.

Edit - I haven't looked but I think the 265/75-16 and 255/85-16 both have a 10.4 or 10.5 section width. So, maybe wrong there too.
