A negative offset will make the wheel stick out of the fender more thus giving you clearance on your control arms allowing you to run bigger tires. This is just an example I'm not really sure what you are trying to do. It would help if you could give us the set up you are going for. Like the size of the wheels and the tires size. I'm guessing you are going with 17 inch wheels and a 285/70 but i am not sure.

    Thanks Bro.

Im trying to get the wheels above in 17X9, with Toyo Open Country R/T 285/70/17. Fuel offers 3 offsets. 1, 20, and -12

Ok if you are worried about clearance with the control arms then i would probably get -12 and glad i could help.

-12mm offset would be approx a 1.65" difference from factory wheels. 0mm offset would be about 1.25" difference.

So at -12mm offset, the wheels will sit 1.65" further away from the frame than your factory wheels.

I don't need the look of the -12 offset, I'm looking for clearance and minimal trimming if able. Although the -12 offset look would be nice also

My wheels are 0 offset, and the tires just stick out past the flares. Nothing extreme but looks decent. You also have to consider inspection laws. Some areas dont allow any tread past the flares.

    I'm running 18's w/ a 3" lift and an offset of -12.
They stick out slightly, less noticeable as I have bushwackers, but I actually wanted them to stand out from the truck slightly.

Gives it what I call a "Beefy stance", lol.

Trimming was minimal and no rubbing on the uca's or cab mount chop needed.

Hope this helps. Nice Fuels btw :D

Go with the -12mm offset. I have 18x9's with a -10mm offset and 4.5" backspacing with 285/65-18"s with minimal rub after some minor trimming.

    Looks Nice.

SDHQ recommended -12 a while back. CarID.com has a really great deal on the Kranks but they recommend a 1 offset. Just wanted to get some opinions out there. I'm definitely leaning -12 but want to get some more opinions. Pictures would be great.

Sounds more like my setup here. Seems like People are steering me to -12.

How you like them AT2's? I'm thinking of getting the New Toyo R/T's
