    Hello,

So for about a week I have noticed that my driver side tire is riding like it has a lot of resistance, like it is rubbing up against something. Looking at the thing near the tire (whatever you call it) is closer to the wheel than on the passenger side. However, the driver side tire isn't showing any wear marks yet. I thought it might be my alignment but the truck doesn't seem to veer left or right while driving straight. When I make a continuous left turn the resistance is relieved until I straighten out again. Any ideas on what is going on?

Have you looked behind the tire to make sure you don't have any debris lodged in there?

The wheel bearings have been replaced recently so I doubt that is it. No there is no debris. It is the front driver side tire

Guessing the "thing" is the upper control arm (UCA). They are close to the tire, but the two sides should be equally distant and definitely should not contact the tire. I suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic (ask around) before putting many more miles on it. Alignment or wheel bearing problem are likely, but whatever the problem actually is will likely soon cause you real problems if not fixed.

The most common cause of wheel drag is brakes. Check that first and work from there.

If the 'thing near the tire" is the upper control arm, and it is indeed noticeably closer to the tire (assuming same size tires and rims both sides, there is a wheel bearing problem, loose hub assembly at the spindle, or a bent spindle.

    How did this issue start?

    Well,

I took it to a shop and it was actually a bad wheel bearing on the passenger side. I thought it was the control arm on the driver side front because it is closer to the tire than the others but my driver side front tire has my spare rim on it because I couldn't replace the rim after an accident because the rims I have are discontinued. So the spare rim has a different offset so it is closer to the control arm than the others but that was not the problem.

It's a shame you aren't closer, I'd buy the three wheels from you. I'm starting to gather supplies for a trailer. 2 wheels and a spare will be important. Find someone nearer who is doing the same to help you in the quest to get new wheels.
