2015 Access cab engine options ???

Anyone have any insight on why the 6 cylinder is no longer available (2015's) in the access cab ???

 

I have a 2015 v6 access cab, so they are certainly available.

 

I also have a 2015 access cab v6. Just got it.

 

WOW!....I was just on the Toyota web site doing a "build your own" Tacoma and when I selected the 6 cyl engine option for the access cab a mesage came up saying it was only available in the double cab

4x4 or 4x2? Actually now that I think about it, the 4.0L may not be available in 4x2.

 

The V6 is only available on access cab PreRunner and 4wd models, you can't get it on a 2wd 5 lug access cab, though.

 

Its a region specific type of thing.....
I was wanting a 2015 4x2 access cab prerunner 4.0 here in Texas.....cant get it.
But if I enter a zip code in Florida and build it the same way, its available

WTF ???

 

This generation of Tacoma is on it's last legs. Toyota just wants to build as few different models as they can get away with.
