I noticed a musty smell in the truck the other day and pulled up the mat and found the floor to be wet. I dried it up and didn't think much of it.

Today (it rained) there was a significant amount of water on the passenger floor. I checked the A/C drain and it appears to be ok, ran a piece of string trimmer line up it and nothing spilled out. I didn't think this was the problem but gave it a whirl anyway.

I had the windshield replaced a couple months back but haven't noticed an issue until now. Do you think it is a bad windshield seal or an issue with the cowl that I have read about others having? I'm gonna go to the windshield place tomorrow and see what happens.

Could be the windshield. I had mine replaced a while back and there was clearly a leak in the seal somewhere as the first time it rained hard I had water droplets coming out of my headliner at the dome light area. Was not too impressed but at least a quick and easy fix for the shop who had replaced the windshield.

Also check the door seals on that door and the windshield pillar area. Water may be coming down from the top of the cab, following the door seals and getting into the cab.

I'm gonna wedge myself under the dash tomorrow and have my buddy spray the windshield with a hose. Hopefully I can find something.

Check the cabin air filter. If it's wet then the channel that runs UNDER the windshield
is blocked. To get to it you have to remove the black plastic piece that is under the hood. It has all the vents in it. I looked under mine to try and figure out how all the leaves and crap get on top of my cabin filter. There is a great big hole there to pull in fresh air for the A/C.

There is a channel that catches any water that makes its way down below the windshield and drains it off to passenger fender area. If it gets blocked over the GREAT BIG HOLE for the fresh air intake. then it pours down on top of the cabin filter.

I will try to find a pic of this for you.

Did the hose test this morning and found a steady stream of water coming in under the dash when spraying the windshield. It's at the windshield shop now. We shall see.

They fixed it no questions asked. Said it was a bad seal under the windshield by the cowl. I was expecting them to say it was a dealer problem and the dealer to say it was a windshield problem. Went better than expected.

Glad you found the issue. I was chasing a water leak for weeks checking all the usual suspects and frying my brain trying to find the culprit. Friend of mine stopped by and within 30 seconds noticed that a small section of the weather stripping was out of place on the passenger door seal. Popped it back into place and no more leak.

My windshield leaked from the factory. At first they tried blaming the wet floor on me going on dirt roads and popping out some floor plugs lol. Took 3 times back and forth to the dealer. Glad you got your issue fixed right away.
