Hmmm, I wonder if there is actually a difference from sport to offroad ? It is a completely different axle and diff...and if you want to see an entry for the overkill award I got bored and used a stainless braided hose I had in the garage and one of the K&N breather filters for mine :

Sorry, I don't have a build thread yet...

I do a lot of trips down to Baja and a lot of beach driving so I have always kept the chassis coated liberally in WD-40 to keep rust away and I power wash it a couple times per month. I lived in Florida for a bit in the 90's and the old timers there taught me WD-40 trick to keep the salt air etc from taking hold. The WD-40 trick is great for keep mud from sticking too. The whole suspension was rebuilt over the past year and I have started repainting everything as I go so that is why the rear axle looks so shiny. I completely re plumbed the brakes with kevlar soft lines and ran them to the axle via the same path as the e-brake lines so I just need to grind all of the tabs off to finish the job.

Where do you like to go in Baja?

Our favorite beach is 20 miles south of San Felipe, I call it Shell Island, just south of Percebu... it is surrounded by water at the highest tides.

It is all surf travel David, we have been mainland as far as Salina Cruz. We hit San Jose and the east cape area and San Juanico a few times per year, many other much closer Norte spots too just to escape the crowds in SD ;) My fiancé has the real merit badge, she's done it in all her VW bus  I enjoyed watching your TV show I recognized a lot of the beaches.

10-4 Jason, if you go to surf, then San Felipe is of no interest to you! LOL

Thanks, it was fun to ride in a helicopter for hundreds of miles over Baja going to them and back north, and to ride with Cameron and others between the two flights. I hope Cameron asks me back in 2015, and I can lecture at more than 2 missions.

On a side note it was amusing watching all those Raptors break and get stuck . That could have been a Raptor repair and recovery show :D You should bring you truck next year and show em' what the taco can do ;)

I don't want to say a bad thing and jinx my chances... I already badmouthed BFG (two sidewall fails I saw on the nearly 3 days I was with them). Cameron runs Yokohamas, and the others ran General Grabbers... with no failures, I saw.

The Ford Raptor rides very nice, and like the Tacoma Off Road TRD, comes from the factory ready for Baja. However, there is definitely a weakness in the Ford front spindles.

So besides the place I listed in this thread. ( Low Range ) does anyone else have a link to where I can get it? I placed my order last Tuesday and paid the 15.00 priority mail fee and it has still not been sent out yet. So I canceled it and got my money refunded which was 40.00 total. To me if I order on a Tuesday and pay for Priority mail it should at least go out the day after or the next. A week later it's still sitting on a shelf waiting to go out. That's not good business to me. So anywhere else I can get this kit?

No kit needed just go buy the following parts at a Toyota dealership:

    Union - #90404-51319
    Breather - #90930-03136

Then go buy about 5-6ft of fuel line and some house clamps at an auto parts store.
