The frontier in the lower trims is pretty dated. I used to work for a Nissan dealership so I can say it is a good truck but holy crap is it not on par on with the 21st century.

I hope to the sweet baby Jesus GM did not give it those same top/bottom headlight 'eyelid' LED strips they used on the new Sierra.

Ha ha ha! Living in Metro Detroit all of my life I've gotten my fair share of crap for driving Toyotas. I've own one vehicle from each Big 3 and now on my 2nd Toyota. Each manufacturer have plus and minuses, nobody makes 100% built proof products, but my 2 yotas are pretty damn close to it! My daily beater is a 2008 Scion tC with 170k miles, it's never had any major repairs and runs like new (I'm the original owner). The Tacoma has always been one of my favorites. They're rare in my neck of the woods, I can go days/weeks without seeing another on the road. I'm in the market to purchase a 2015, but after catching wind of the 2016's, I think I'm going to wait until I see it at NAIAS.

I still think the Tacoma is easily the best looking truck in that segment - despite its age.

The Frontier just needs to be taken out back and shot already.

Yawn, looks like every other Chevy truck they have been making for the past 10 years. How much does all that plastic add to the price?

We get very little snow here in FL :p

Waiting for the Tacoma to come out before making the final decision.

Spending some time at the Canyon forum reading about their first year experience with these trucks.

Just reading and looking at photos to kill time while Jan 12 gets here...

they should have used the 4.3 V6 in my opinion instead of the crap 3.6 that has timing chain stretching and other engine issues found in all the other models they use that motor in.

Peak horsepower is at 6800 RPM! Why in the world would you want a truck with an engine that you have to rev out? And on 91 octane, our 10-year-old 4.0 engine still makes more torque lower.

Seems to me they could have tried a little harder--not exactly like they didn't know what their competition was.

Agreed. typical GM BS. the 4.3 has less horsepower, but still makes like 285 at 5300 rpm and the 305 torque at 3900rpm.

Tacoma is 236 hp at 5200 rpm and 266 torque at 4000.

...or, if you look at the TRD website for the supercharger, the figures are: 239 hp @ 5200 rpm; 278 lb.-ft. @ 3700 rpm. I'm assuming they base that on 91 octane (which is what I use anyway) which is why the ratings are higher.

Good call on the no snow haha

Idk, I like the looks of the Colorado better, seems more off road capable from an appearance stand point as well. The canyon seems more like a car than even the Ridgeline. Fits the demographic of an elderly male that carries around his scooter in the back

I checked them out things i noticed about them is the rear view mirror is like the tacoma and sits low that i have to look under it sometimes. Also the rear seat does not pivot up to get to storage you have to lift it up to get to storage under it, but the seat does not lift all the way up causing problems getting items in and out of the storage. Another thing the back seat folds down ontop of the seat cushion causing a loss of room when you drop it to use a more storage room.
