Dash scratch fix

Hopefully someone has an answer. This past weekend I unfortunately scratched my dash on the passenger side. It might not be noticeable to some, but it is driving me nuts:





Has anyone had any experience at repairing something like this? I don't want to add a sticker in the spot and if I could find something that could mask it, definitely interested. I did some searching on here and members have posted some ideas, but really never saw a definite answer. Thanks.

 

Would like an answer to this also. I have a chip smaller than this above my stereo and it sure annoys me. No very durable plastics in these interiors.

 

Take a sharpie to it

 

air brush or Q-tip with grey paint on it to match the dash

 

I agree with the Munich fan....

 

Sharpies are great.

I had a scratch on my fender flare and I colored over it with a sharpie lol

 

Word, however I do not agree with being a Munich fan at all...Frankfurt all the way

 

Also useful for hiding those pesky bed scratches.

Oh boy. I have a shit ton of those... Don't even want to try to hide em' all. I'd use 3 full markers

Lol I know...but I was born and raised in that town so what can I say...

 

There are a few people around here that specialize in such repairs. They sub out to the used car dealers especially the ones that sell high end used cars. I found the one I use by calling the Lexus dealer and talking to the used car mgr. They can make it invisible or nearly so.

 

Thats cool man. One good thing about soccer is that no matter what team we support, we have a very high level of respect for each other and the trash talk is all in good fun

I've heard Napa carries a touch up paint for toyota dash boards

 

I would either buy a new piece or carefully fill and reshape the area with bondo and paint the entire thing.

 

I would just try to match the color with some paint, might not look great.
