So was installing some aftermarket LED bulbs in the inside of my truck and thankfully I dropped one of the light covers under the driver seat and gues what I found!? MY BED CLEATS!!!!! I was so mad when I got the truck home and looked on the forums for a few days I thought that I had to purchase these separate, and they're soo damn expensive. I looked in all the cubby's in the bed and under and behind the back seats. Nothing.

This thread is just an FYI if you buy a new truck and can't find your bed cleats the look under your driver seat!

Mine were under seat as well. Found while vacuuming sand out after going to the beach for the trucks first drive.

If you are talking about those cheap POS plastic tie downs that slide.....I removed mine and put in a zip lock. Will reinstall if I ever sell the truck. One less thing for thieves to steal.

That's great. The only things I've found under my seats were old french fries and condoms:D

Well... There is L-Track (aka Aircraft Cargo) that looks like it would be a good replacement to the Toyota's cargo management system.

    http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Ratchet-Straps-Tie-Downs/L-Track-Tie-Down-Rails

The attachment pins are less than $4.

My bed cleats are in almost constant use...I keep a hank of rope around the two on the drivers side and makes tying down loads quick and easy.

I'm glad I don't live where you do. I've had three gen 2 Tacomas and never had anyone take the bed rail cleats. Never even crossed my mind that someone would. Either your super paranoid for nothing or you need to move.

Last Tacoma I had, couldn't find the bed cleats either...talked the dealer into letting me keep the ones from my trade-in. Of course I found them later, now have an extra set.
