    **Disclaimer**
I don't suggest people use this device as I don't know who makes it and the quality behind it. NEVER heard of a car being ruined by it BUT I don't take any responsibility...so buy on ebay or Amazon at your own risk.

    160-288-large_zps422db4d4_94e9de33f34ab116ee75a2b12977f3d6c3d7e6bf.jpg

    What is the device above?
Its NOT a key programmer at all. What the device does is flash your immobilizer(key) ECU and returns it back to factory state(auto registration).

    What vehicles will it program?
This will only work with tacomas(Most 05-10) that use the 4D67 Chip keys. These keys have a small dot engraved on the key blade. If you have a G engraved, move along as this procedure will not work.
    dot_zps79b50af4_8f497879140fd19254774a9e4a455b72c06bb86c.jpg

This device is more suited for people who only have one master, valet or no keys at all.

Where can I purchase a 4D67 Dot Key?
Quality and price vary a lot. Keys are all over amazon and ebay

    How to use device...
Many instructions online talk about beeps...DONT worry about that.. LOOK at your immobilizer light(center console)

This method is if you have one master or valet key and your adding ONE extra key. Also for people who have lost all keys.
    1) Turn ignition to ON with any key(engine not running)
    2) Insert Smart key maker into obd2 port
    3) Keep looking at security light, When it comes ON solid, remove smart key maker.
    4) remove key and re-insert but keep ignition off. Light will flash once and then turn ON. Remove key(its programmed at this point)
    5) Insert second key, light will turn off and then back on again.
    Second key is now programmed.

Take any key and cycle off to ON in the ignition about five times very quickly to turn light off.

This method is if you have two keys and your adding a third.
You can only program Two master keys and one valet, So if you have two Masters...Third key must be VALET.
If you have one master and one valet... Third key must be a master.
Remove.
    Second key is now programmed.
    6) Insert third key and light will Turn off.
Third key is program and you are done.

If you have generic keys and visually can't tell what keys you have. Check out video below.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehtnF91aPY0

I say in video that you can't add keys by using a valet key...This refers to proper programming methods. Above instructions are not normal and you are erasing your ECU.

Awesome write up. Thank you for posting this. What should a person do if they want to program more than 2 keys? Doesn't a Tacoma allow something like 5 master keys and 2 valets?

I only deal with programming master keys in my shop so have only tested using that. I'm thinking the computer is seeing two master chips and not allowing a third master. Will need to test with adding a valet key as a third key. If it accepts that.... I will generate some of my chips as valet for customers who want to add my remote key as a third key

The vehicle does allow more keys BUT thats using techstream(dealer) or locksmith equipment. Instructions have been updated.

Tried again and its only letting me add two master keys and one valet. This closes the programming cycle and you don't have to cycle the key to turn light off. You do have to cycle if programming two or one key. This was tested on a sienna. The keys accepted "might" vary by car.

Like I said, this device main purpose is for people with ONLY a valet key or no keys at all. Techstream clones are useless if you have no keys or a valet.

So how many keys do you have now that actually start the car? Im counting three UNIQUE encryptions total. The hardware bulky key Im assuming was a clone key they made...so techincally its identical to one of your other keys.

I used the same plug in programmer to program my key, it took a couple tries but it works.

The problem is the instructions that come with unit are horrible!
People try to decipher them and post their interpretation of the instructions.

I did procedure about 15 times until I narrowed it down to the easiest way possible.

I ordered the techstream to program my all in one key. Hope it works. I should have it in 3 weeks. I'll report back with my progress.

Thank you so much for these instructions. It worked exactly as described. I was down to a valet key only. I was able to reset my system to have 2 new master keys (ordered from you), and my original valet key.

I just hooked up my TechStream, and the system shows 2 masters and 1 valet. I was able to add additional master keys with this software without any issue. I went from having only one key to having a plethora of backups.

    Thank you soooo much.

I have a 2012 with a "G" key. I lost one key and purchased a new "G" key on Amazon and had it cut. I tried the insert & remove original key 4 times, leave in on 5th. Open and close driver door 6 times and remove original - will not go into program mode - immobilizer light on solid. Found another instruction that had me stepping on the gas & brake in different pattern - still no program mode. Now I found this thread that says if you have a "g" key - move along. So.....any other solutions other than going to the dealership?

I'm looking for the "G Key" answer too.

I got a key from Amazon and I could not make it work. Went to Pet Boys (Pep Boys) and got me a key there... they also programmed it. I think I paid 70 dollars. I used my 10% military discount too.

Hmm, Maybe I'll just look into a local Locksmith and see what they can do... this whole buying a blank key off Amazon and going through the motions of programming it sounds like a pain. I don't have time to tinker as much these days...
