The truck already has 2.5" of rake stock and you're saying it now has 3.5-4.0" of rake after the TSB? Sorry but IMO I can't see how that would look good. I can't stand even the 2.5" of rake but maybe that's just me.

Depends on what kind of lift you have. If the lift has AALs, then there is no point to it. Also, I don't know that Toyota would honor a suspension TSB if you have already altered the suspension.

I read the whole thread and probably missed it but can anyone point me to the details on the TSB so I can print them out.
    Thanks.

I told ya! I swear by bilstein shocks and refuse to drive anything without them. Well worth having them put on your car no matter what you drive. Glad you like the upgrade :)

I think it's been a month since I called the dealer to request getting this done....

They're ears must have been ringing cuz I was gonna call them today and get an update. When I got home - there was a message on my answering machine that the parts were in. Awesome!! The bad news - I have to wait until December 3rd to have it done. The dealership where I bought the truck is 30 minutes away. I went with them instead of my local dealer (I don't really like my local dealer). I'm on 1st shift and working 12 hour shifts the next two weeks, plus with the holiday..... I'll be on 2nd shift Dec. 3rd and can whip up there and have it done. Use their shuttle bus to take me somewhere....

I'm just excited this is actually gonna happen!!

So Taco do you see an appreciable lift from before you had the TSB and the ride is it much stiffer then before?

    Thanks CB:)

The ride isn't that much stiffer in my opinion, but the steering response is drastically different.

The SR5 suspension is fairly light. Going down the highway with a 10-20 MPH crosswind would cause my truck to sway and swerve very badly. It was annoying.

Now enter the TRD suspension. Yesterday we had pretty good winds. No problems going down the highway. My truck stayed steady and level. As for the ride comfort on a bumpy road - I think it improved (even with no weight in the bed).

    :D

The back end does feel a bit higher, but no enough that it is difficult to get in and out of the truck. I think it lowered the angle of my headlights a bit, but it isn't enough to concern me. I took some before measurements. I will take some after measurements later today.

One thing I haved observed is how light in ass my Double is with the composite bed. I almost lost it one day when rear did a 90,but I saved it cause I was going kinda slow in the corner. But it was a little HARRY for a second. I will be putting 4 sandbags in bed very soon for traction in Snow!:)

    Great contributions to this thread!

Towing a trailer, I definitely need the TSB suspension upgrade.

However, I am concerned about a possible increase in cab height due to an unusual parking requirement I have. I have to park the truck in a carport off an alley in the inner city :( and the clearance height ("Max Headroom") of the carport is exactly 72". That is why I did not consider a Tundra when I went to market.

My Taco now has a cab height of approx. 70 1/2 " and clears the carport nicely, even with the tires over inflated. Does anyone know the cab height of a 2006 4X4 Taco Access Cab that has received the TSB upgrade?

Critter, I just had the rear TSB done also and I put in Toytec 2" spacers in front. It lifted up the front just enough. I believe they also have 1/2 and 1 inch spacers. Good luck
