Does anyone know what the check engine & trac light combo mean? I step on the gas and it struggles after 20mph.
Codes are p2440 secondary air injection system switching valve stuck open bank 1, p2442 secondary air injection system switching valve stuck open bank 2 , c1422 master cylinder pressure sensor zero point high.

    Thanks in advance.

By any chance you pulled the check engine light code and see what it is? That would help us a lot.

I just had this happen like 10 minutes ago. My codes were P2419, P2401, P2402, P043e and P043F. Mine said "evaporative emission system" errors like the pump (high and low vacuum pumps stuck on and off) and and switching valve control circuit. Still looking more into it. I unlike you though didnt really notice any lack of power aside from normal... Strange still though. Mine sounds like a cat problem I believe cause lately Ive noticed a slight loss of power all around and crap gas mileage. You been having any of those problems?

Edit: heres a link for the issue Im having and maybe potentially yours too. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/187824-cel-p043e-p043f-p2401-p2402-p2419.html

I thought it was cat related as well but took it to the dealer didn't mention an thing about the cat. I have a warranty for 7 years with the dealer but according to them it's only for drive terrain parts not components. So I'm going to see if this is something I can fix myself. And hopefully will fix the power loss.

According to that link I posted there something about a gas tank filter evaporation thing-a-ma-jig getting clogged. I dont see that causing negative effects but I could see maybe the something up in the cats or intake system like your maf sensor being bad or dirty maybe. Someone else chime in if Im mistaken here.

That would be the charcoal emission canister. Yes it will get plugged if you overfill the fuel tank all the time. The canister get contaminated with liquid gasoline and it is only meant to handle the vapors.

Could I just take it out and clean it out? I know that other thread was talking about it.

I had the same issue the day after I bought my truck. Check engine/Trac Off and when it was in D it said it was in 2L as well (both lights lit up).

I had a bad ECM. They replaced it and gave me a 8 year/100k mile comprehensive warranty on my truck.

We like to call them "casual encounters" or more commonly known as "farm time" in Idaho.

Same problem with my 2012 with 30500 miles. The last time I filled up the shutoff on the gas nozzle did not work and the tank overflowed. Must have been the cause.
