I just installed a new Fold a Cover G4 Elite on my 2015 Taco Double Cab with a short bed. The cover does not align with the wind seal rails correctly. The cover is about 1/2 inch off. I cannot adjust it due to the tab that connects to the footman's loop would then hit the tailgate. I have an inquiry in to Fold a cover, but I thought I would try here also.
Has anyone else run into this on a 2015 short bed?

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Any pics? I'm interested in picking up this cover for my bed but if there are fit issues...I may change my mind.

It appears that the locking tab was bent a little during shipping. I plan to cut the tab off and use a Pop - N -Lock so it didn't matter. The top is excellent quality and the customer service is very fast and efficient. Installation was easy.

I installed this same model on my 2014 dcsb and had my bro-in-law just grind the tab off. I have a pop-n-lock installed, so no worries about tailgate. I didn't have any issues with alignment. Cover is great!

Yeah....mine was bent slightly too. Just grabbed some channel locks and bent it back.

I bent the tab back as suggested and all is well now. The Pop n Lock is in the mail, so it goes on this weekend. The top is one of the best that I have seen so far.

The back of my cover is about 1/4" further forward than the side rails due to this issue. I plan on installing a Pop-N-Lock so I didn't worry about it.

Same here, used an adjustable wrench as a lever to pull it back. The G4 cover was a PITA to align correctly, while my old LS fold-a-cover was easypeasy.
Other than the new locking mechanism, I don't see a huge improvement in the design.

I just had the fold a cover G4 elite cover installed on my 2015 Tacoma and immediately fell in love with it. Love the recessed locks on the back panel by the bulk head and by the front panel by tailgate. Very very happy with my purchase

I see they changed the design of the rear weather seal. Looks better then mind. Might have to upgrade to that seal now.

The seals just glue on after the install is complete. You should be able to get them fairly cheap as they are just a basic rubber strip. You even have to cut them to fit, so they are not custom made. Give Fold-a-cover a call and see if they will work with you (can't hurt).

I love the fold a cover, however, the glue that holds the back seal isn't the best. Mine came loose after the initial install. They sent me a replacement which I installed per the directions but it is starting to come loose at the latch just like the first one. I may just drill a small hole and screw the seal on since there is not enough plastic at that point to make a good permanent seal.

Did you use the adhesion promoter wipe that came with the seal? I couldn't budge my seal after putting it on.

I did use the prompter as directed. The problem is right at the locking lever where there is minimal area to hold onto the seal.

Will this cover work with out the plastic bed rail covers?
