The $90 includes the top hats, coil isolators, bushings, and bushing washers. Sure you can save a few bucks reusing the factory hardware, but most of the time the bushing and isolators are toast or at least close to it. Also the advantage of the assembly is you now have a complete bolt on system and the factory struts can remain assembled should you ever need to go back to stock.

Anyhow just wanted to expand on this a bit more

Taylola2010, you have a 2015 so your bushings and stuff should be in good shape so you won't have to worry there. Just pointing this out for folks with older trucks

Good point but she does have a 2015 I'd sure hope the stock hardware and bushings are fine. That's why I suggested not to get them assembled....the kit will come with bushings and washers as well. If you look closely in the link I provided.

Head strong off road says: The UCA’s become necessary in order to get your truck back into alignment the closer you get to 2.5”-3” of front lift. So depending on which coils you chose you will need them . For instance the 884’s will give you around 2” of lift, the 885’s will give you around 2.5” of lift, the 887 will give you around 2.75” of lift.

I need the 885s with the double cab? Will I be ok without the UCA's?

Am I right that if I set the 5100s at 0 I'll still be around 2"?

To prevent confusion I'd like to point out that the 5100 front shocks do not come with new bushing and washers for the top. I'm not sure what's shown in the link but any bushings included are probably for the rear shocks.

Ok what do you guys think about the spindle kit on the same link? Then I don't have to worry about UCA's at all and would have a 4" lift? http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

    Head strong brought this up...

It really all depends on the amount of lift you want. The 885 coils will get you to 2.5”-3.0”. I would normally say 2.5”, but since you have a 2wd that weighs less you might land more close to 3” of lift.

I have to ask since you have a 2wd truck, have you at all considered lift spindles? The benefit is with them you will maintain a factory like ride and the geometry of the suspension stays the same. See with coils you are actually taking from your down travel by forcing your lower and upper control arms down through the use of longer and or stiffer coils. I know a lot of people go the coil lift route to save money or because they have 4x4, but as far as quality of ride and performance goes spindles are the way to go. Only down side to spindles is the increase in track width (0.75” push out per side), you are limited to running wheels with a maximum back spacing of 4.5” and the only lift options are 3.5-4” (which is perfect for 33” tires).

Until I got new wheels and tires I couldn't run this with my stock prerunner steelies wheels and Dunlaps?

Of course the first kit without UCA's is about 1/2 price and still gets me to 2.5-3" which I like!!
