390 HP vs whatever outdated figure the Tacoma gives. Obviously more space. And go test drive one if you don't believe me.

The only thing different functionally is the shocks in the 4 corners.... That's it!

The rest is astethics... Woopty doo a skewp, one off grill, and color matched shit. But when it comes down to it... The TRD pro is a glorified TRD off road.

And that sure as shit ain't worth 16k extra... Hell I could go full LT and armor for that

I pass by dealerships all the time that have much more impressive dealership packages on heir trucks than what the TRD pro offers. Mainly the Ford and Chevy dealers with lifted trucks.

Saw the same thing at a Chevy dealership when I went in to test drive a Colorado. An additional $15K markup was added to the Z28 Camaro for "market adjustment." Apparently, because they're less common the dealerships get to add a huge profit margin to them.

BTW, I didn't buy the 'rado, either. Glad I decided to wait to see what the 2016 Tacoma will bring.

TRD Pro is an upgrade, however a lifted Offroad will have the same off road capability. 46k is too much for me. Those that can afford it, good for them. Not everyone is in the market for the TRD Pro.

If some dope pays that amount they are losing before they ever leave the lot. If they decide to ever trade it or sell it, they will never get close to their money back.

Hopefully it'll be worth the wait. If not it still gives you time to see what problems the Colorado needs to have worked out if any.

The MSRP is less than I paid for my DCLB Sport in 2009 with the dollars basically at par

I would buy a TRD Pro and then strip the suspension for something aftermarket like Icon or Fox just to piss off people here who like to piss and moan.

Then you could probably sell they stock trd pro suspension for a pretty penny and almost pay for the aftermarket parts ;)

Absolutely. But you know some sucker would give his first born child (exaggerating) to have TRD Pro takeoff suspension parts

Its as simple as this; the demand for this truck is very high because everyone thinks its a super tacoma but the supply of this model is very low.

    Heres my 2 cents:
Buy a trd off road or hell.... buy a base model 4x4.
Put Front and Rear Icon Supspension on it
    Get a grille from Homertaco
    Buy some Tires
    Buy some wheels
    Buy some Katzkin Leather

Now you have one bad ass tacoma for way less than that truck....... Ask me how I know.

I'd rather give them away free to the person who complains to most just to shut them up until they find the next thing to complain about:goingcrazy:

I joined Coloradofans (http://coloradofans.com/index.php) so I could discuss the various intricacies of the Colorado/Canyon/Tacoma dynamic. There's a lot of folks there who switched from Toys to GM because of the engine, transmission, mileage, and interior improvements.

If the 2016 can at least be an apples-to-apples match for the Canyon and Colorado, a lot of people would go with the Tacoma in a heartbeat. I know I would. Right now, it's hard to argue with the fact that the Colorado's V6 gets a smidge better mileage than the Tacoma's I4.

I also don't think it's a cooincidence that the Colorado looks like a next-gen Hilux. That's who they compete against in South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. I saw a lot of tricked-out Hiluxes in Qatar and the UAE, where all you have to do to do some serious off-roading is a simple sharp right turn. Anywhere.
