Scooped hood Rockauto

I have a 2013 Tacoma I am looking at getting a scooped hood. Rock auto has one for a pretty decent price. I was wondering has anyone had any experience with the hoods off rock auto how is the quality? ETC.

 

I've looked into them too, but my only concern is last time I checked they are not a CAPA certified hood. You would also have to find the filler pieces for the scoop by the looks of it.

 

And get it painted I'd imagine.

 

Yes paint as well. My tailgate came primered black.

 

They have CAPA certified for like $20.00 extra and I found all the trim on ebay for like $120. Then of course it would have to be painted. So when its said and done I would have around $700 in it. I just wish I could find someone to trade mine and I would be happy to give them $400 or so.

 

Huh they do have a CAPA cert. one now. If you do want to go this route definitely spend the extra $20 and get the CAPA certified. Don't forget also, we get a rockauto discount for being a tw member
