Garage door opener in map light..

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket part for a garage door opener for the map light....My 04 4runner had it and i know they are on all the camrys..

It had the three buttons that you could program for up to three doors.. It is located in the middle of the map lights and in front of the sunglass holder... My 06 tacoma has a blank spot...and i would think that one would be able to go in that spot!!
what do you think??

Thanks, but I don't know. My wife had a Highlander that had it. I want to say yes you can get it, but wait for a 2nd opinion.

 

I felt bad for leaving you hanging, so I did a little searching. You can get a homelink rearview mirror and if you have the overhead console with compass/temp, it's pretty simple to install and wire up.
Check e-bay for the mirrors.

I bought a homelink mirror on ebay.



On my wife's Mustang, I bought a homelink out of a late model Dodge (they are in the visors) and I grafted it into her visor.

I bought a Homelink Auto dimming mirror off ebay. It's actually a take-off (used) mirror from some other vehicle. Works awesome!!

The auto-dimming part is wired up to the temp sensor power so it shuts off with the ignition. The homelink portion is wired up to the map lights so you can use it after the truck is shut off.
