as someone who lives in a state with less then ideal road conditions 9 months of the year, I just don't understand why everyone hates on ABS. I usually turn off all of my traction controls during driving (except ABS obviously) and have never had a problem with stopping in snow or ice. I do use a combination of engine braking so that might make the difference. For me ABS really only kicks in during emergency stopping and low speed braking on ice, and have not had a problem stopping before. ABS is here to maintain static friction between your tires and ground, breaking static friction and going into kinetic friction is a bad thing. While you may take 100 ft to brake on ice with ABS, I guarantee it will take a 1000 more feet to stop if you lock up all your wheels. You could pump the brakes but thats exactly what the ABS is doing, and aparently thats worthless

They released and had no intensions of locking up. With the abs,, its like the truck (gave up!). It just made noise!!! No stoppin! It happened to me before, last year. Not as bad as this one though. This one scared the shit out of me!!!

According to some people on here, if you drive more than 10 km on your stock tires your truck will explode. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

If you are coming to a four way stop just accelerate REALLY hard towards it and people will see you are being aggressive and clear a path for you. Then they will gladly follow as the flames shooting from your tires will melt the snow. All this while blaring SLAYER and screaming doing the devil horns out your window.
