I'm finally ready to purchase my first taco and have decided with the TRD PRO. My local dealer says all PROs have been sold out and cannot be ordered.

    Any truth to this?

Looking for the V6, auto in Inferno. Located in bay area, CA.

(and yes, I like overpaying for vehicles and is why I'm going with the pro model :luvya:)

Also wanted to mention that I called another dealer and they offered to place an order with an expected receipt 30-120 days thereafter. I explicitly asked whether this was an allocation deal or a true order. They said its a direct order.

I dont know what to believe. I also dont want to place an order and find out 120 days later that it was a no-go. I also don't want a 3rd gen and want enough time to get the 2nd gen that I want before it's gone for good.

Wait for the 2016. You have waited this long. If your going to pay top dollar, you might as well wait for the latest and greatest.

I wish you luck, took me a while to find mine, and I had to drive a few hours just to get it. Personally I would rather have the last years of a generation when all the bugs are worked out over the first years of a new generation

There was a TRD sightings thread on the board....not sure if it is still active or not. They are still out there, just do a lot of internet searching. I was looking in about 6 states and ended up getting one that showed up at my local dealer (they weren't expecting to get one). I found quite a few of them, many at msrp or a tad below...just couldn't find one with tow for a long time. The more open you are as to what configuration you will take, the easier they are to find. Factory Tow Package and also 6-speed manual seem to be the real hard to get options. 4dr and AC autos less tow are fairly common. Just keep searching and good luck.
