Tips don't change the sound unless you have a highly tuned ear

    Ya never know...

Someone could design a specialized tip with baffles & quitar strings inside it that'll play a tune depending on how you step on the gas. :D:p:p:p

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
For some reason i thought that exhaust tips on some diesels affect the noise.....Actually, i wanna say they do for a fact. There are different tips you can get that have fins that direct the air to make a whistle.

The only thing it can possibly change is the resonance of the sound

My dealer says there has been a recall on the Chrome exhaust tip sold by Toyota. I emailed Toyota to see when they would be in stock, they didn't know of any recall. Has anyone heard of this or bought one lately? The dealer said they were falling of the Tacomas apprently a bad clamp.

I am a bit late to this thread, but I, too, was told that the exhaust tips are no longer available.

Got this message back just today after they cancelled my order:

    YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELED:

Toyota has stopped production on most of the exhaust tips and they are in the middle of redesigning them . They had a issue with the clamp design and had a few that fell off .

    Thank You

Contact them again they are back on the market after they modified the clamp. They are made by Valor for Toyota. They look nice, i have one on my White Dbl Cab, it makes the truck look sharper.
