XRXS = Extra Rigid, Extra Strong

Designed for extra heavy items, like spare tires, surf boards, and canoes.

I'm not sure if they would be able to support an RTT, but maybe some of you can do the R&D for me on that one.

The main point of these, is that they will be very strong, but still be able to work with a tonneau cover or topper.

They will have almost zero flex. The cleats and the bed rails will be the limiting factor with these.





As you can see, they will fully encompass the cleat. The extra bends add tons of strength.

Design details:

- Constructed of 14 gauge steel.
- Mounts by bolting to factory cleat.
- Black textured powder coated.
- Slot on the top will accept a 1/4" bolt.

Price will be $80 each or $150 for a set (including all hardware).

It will be a couple weeks before these are available.

 

Looks goods, Which one of your brackets for you recommend for mounting a 33" spare in your basket? This one or the heavy duty?

 

For normal driving, these will work just fine.

If you're really getting crazy over the bumps, or getting the truck off the ground, you'll want the HD version.

 

Now, these, I will buy! By the looks of them, they will be pretty strong AND not go above the bed sides...This correct??

 

The prototype is done.

I'll check to make sure everything fits tonight, then off to production they go....

First production pieces could be ready to ship as early as the end of next week.

 

Picking the first batch of these up from the powder coat guy on Tuesday.

 

Any chance it would be possible to add similar mounting slots to the front and back? I'm thinking this would make a great bed divider mount option.

 

That's a definite possibility.

Has anybody used these for a RTT yet?

 

Yeah, a few people have. They're plenty strong enough.

 

I just like the low profile of this one vs the HD ones so I was hoping I could get away with these ones !

 

I would say go for it.

 

Last summer I weighed about 220, and I could stand in the center of one of these without deflection, so an RTT will be absolutely no problem with two bars.
