1st. Does anyone know where or who I can get reinforcement plates for the back end of the frame of a 05+ Tacoma? I see plates all over but they only go to 04. I don't have to equipment to make them my self, or else I honestly would.

2nd. Has anyone ever powder coated their leaf springs? I have the AllPro standard duty springs and I ran across a thread about rusting leaf springs and the AllPro seem to be one that rusts not only quickly, but a lot. I am going to have this powder coating shop do it, but I was wondering if anyone else has?

    Thanks for any answers.

Hahaha! Thanks dude! I absolutely love this bike. You won't regret it! When its not pouring down rain, the riding is amazing. I'm trying to make it down there sometime soon.

    For question 2
you can't powder coated anything that will flex. The powder coated will crack and flake off. Then rust comes after that.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
18k gold plating would look nice.

That would only work on the outside of the springs. Where the springs touch would rub off

I know it's not paint but I use a metal protector from Amsoil that's works great. It leaves a coating that repels dirt, grime and water. I use it on my Taco and on my atv. With my atv I coat everything underneath and never had any squeaks. You may have to reapply it once a year but all in all I think it's a viable "rust" option for you.

Don't remember the name of the stuff, but there is a paint that is made for springs that keeps the rust away and also makes them more "slippery" so the flex and move easier. Bud of mine used it on his FJ40 springs and it seems to have held up for a few years. Pain to take the springs apart and wire brush them etc, but might be worth it if you live in a salty area.
