OK this my 2 cents ,
    Op nice build.

Personally i do not like Jl as there are other brands on the market that provide the same quality, better performance and similar sound. Please don't start telling me your all about Jls sound quality. There is only a hand full of people that can actually tell the difference between given subs in their appropriate enclosure. The JL HO box is also just a dressed up ported box, but 4x the price of a normal ported box made by anyone ells. Jl audio is for those that believe in Jl and willing to pay the cash on JL.

There are quite a few other subs on the market that fit the tacoma, and fit it well that will perform the same and some better than than any of the above mentioned subs.

Ill admit, I initially liked JL, I had a 13w7 on a bpx2200.1 in a 1/4wave TL box in my RSX
It was super loud, great and all.

then i discovered the world of audio outside of JL like the RE xxx, Tc sound Shok TSX, Titan, Triton etc and i will never look back!
Long story short, there is no way id spend any dollars on any JL or main stream name brands EVER again

K i was in hs once as well as the socal car scene in the 90s..heard probably 250k worth of sound systems and maybe im the only one who can tell but i like the performance, from the examples i have heard

Honestly if you cant afford to spend 1-200 bucks more on a good woofer maybe you should keep saving. Or by 1 w6-7 instead of 4 sweet solo barics....?

well said, and i cannot disagree that there are probably brands out there that are better than JL but i did get a really good deal on my subs. they retail for $180 and i got them for $150 each from an authorized dealer so i think i did pretty well on the price. i dont like to pay full price for anything so i jew people down... its kindof my thing

From the way you type I don't think you ever graduated from HS or elementary school.

So what you are saying is spend more money to get a name brand sub? Why? So you can brag to all your little hoochie mamma's that you are rocking JL? Do you think that makes you 'cool' that you spent more money than the other guy?

    Grow up dingleberry.

Your ground wire is a little long. You should try to keep it under 12 inches. Good install!

My ground wire? If your talking about that first picture that's my old setup. My new amp is under the pasanger seat and the ground wire is right at a foot +/- an inch or so.

looks good man jason showed me the box a few weeks ago when i was there getting my remote start done on my trd off road. he also domoed his sport for me, dose sound nice. ive been friends with chad up there for years man we go waaaaay back and they have always done my stereo work. looks like ill be getting a box like that soon!!lol on issue with tacomas is the amount of room you have to work with there for needing a fairly shallow built sub!!! jl makes one!!

Actually I hate UNC they can go eat shit. You should go circle jerk with your buddies in highpoint. I heard that's what they do there.

That's cool man! Jason did a really good job on it. He changed my box a little bit from his, he worked out some kinks to make it better. You will love the box when you get it.

    Agreed. JL is overpriced.

Don't get me wrong, I love JL products. I have 3 JL 10w6v3's and an HD1200/1 and I couldn't be happier with them. But if I wasn't getting their stuff for employee accommodation pricing, I'd go with more modestly priced brands which offer the same level of quality in their respective product lines.
