Trimming Fenders?

Ok, I know there is a good thread out there with instruction on trimming fenders. I found it a long time ago but can't find it now. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can find something on the subject.

I am looking at doing it in the near future and want some guidance. I know I can do it. But there are a few specific things I don't remember about it.

 

Remove fender flares if applicable

Mark and tape how far back you want the cuts

Cut the shit out of your truck with a nice smile on your face

Touch up fresh metal with primer

Repeat procedure for remaining fenders.

 

Just lke that. Must smile, or truck will frown.
And.
We'll have none of that around here.

 

A six pack of beer before the cutting always helps

 

Lol I smiled when installing my snorkel. I will surely smile for this. And I agree, a few beers never hurt when working on your truck. I always make sure I'm not alone... Someone has to record the madness

 

How far do you have to cut for 33"s?

 

I only cut the bottom part of the flare for 33s

 

Have a 3 inch lift on my rig and didn't have to cut the flares at all for my 33s, just a little of the plastic in the well
