frames don't explode in 1/25th of a second and possibly snap your head clean off if you happen while leaning forward....airbags can, especially ones that are connected to altered wiring setups

I agree. Not sure what all the hype is about having a heated steering wheel. I can think of plenty of other things to buy for my truck with that money.

My last vehicle had a heated steering wheel and it was nice for those cold days! Personally for me, I wouldn't spend a bunch of money to add one, it was great and all but it didn't get a ton of use.

It's your money though, spend it however you want. Definitely curious to see if anyone can figure something out!

I aim the dash vents at 10 and 2. Voila.

Wish I could do the same thing with my feet.

Plenty cold 7500 feet above sea level. In the teens frequently. Below zero a few times a year. I've seen it as low as -20 F.

    Stock for now...
At 50 , with temps well past -20*F and arthritis , I really wouldn't mind a heated wheel . Be a lot better than my hands turning dead white and hurting like hell for the first 30 miles . Hate turning those dash vents to the wheel as it dries my eyes too .

Couldn't agree more. It is his money and his truck, he can do whatever he wants. I am interested to see if this even is possible. Not that I really need a heated steering wheel in the SF Bay Area.

Well this pansy has poor circulation and arthritis in his hands 'cause rosy and her four daughters spent too many winter days for too many years using a decidedly low tech low priced vibrating Homelite XL12 chainsaw removing deceased trees from use areas and roadways in a state park so summer visitors would have a safe visit. I would definely appreciate a heated steering wheel. Hard to steer with choppers. Glad your not afflicted, hope you never experience the pain on a balmy - 20 degree F day.
