Im looking to put on 285/75r16 duratracs on wheelers steelies with 4.25 in backspacing. And would like to set the 5100's at the highest limit 2.5 in. and a AAL in the rear. Would i be able to run this set up on stock UCA's and still wheels comfortably? (mostly medium mud and dirt trails, and hill climbs) And will i be able to get the alignment to spec or close to it so to not wear my tires badly? Thank you all!

There's a ton of info in the suspension section, but generally, you will probably need aftermarket UCA's at 2.5 and above for a proper alignment. As far as 285's, you will need to do some trimming. From what I understand, at the very least mudflaps, maybe plastic inside the fender, and possibly the cab mount chop. A few guys run 285's without much trimming, but if you plan to wheel and flex, you may rub.

For the reasons above, I set my 5100's at 1.75 and went with Firestone air bags in the rear. I'm getting tires in the next week or so and will stick with 265/70-17 to avoid trimming. I'm happy with my stance. Check out the lift FAQ thread to help your head explode. I researched for a few months before I bought anything, and I was still a little unsure, but I'm real happy with how everything turned out with my suspension. It rides really smooth and I got the little bit of height I was looking for. Good luck!

The highest setting is 2.5" and that may require aftermarket UCA's for a good alignment. Factory specs are pretty broad, and even " within spec" on the lower end may result in a crappy ride.

I know you're asking about suspension help but I have a question. Did you plasti dip the chrome rims or something else? I have the same and am thinking about Plasti dipping all my chrome.
