tips for getting fender flares repainted-Impulse red pearl

Impulse red pearl fender flares need repainting-anyone else had this done?

 

Just take them off of the truck and go to a reputable local body shop to have the work done.

Do you have a specific question about getting your truck's fender flares repainted?

 

I had mine painted. The guy who painted it screwed up, so now they are fading. It was not done right the first time (there was sand/dust under the clear coat on 3 of them), so I had him redo those 3, and my guess is that the second time he did not clear coat it right because the one that was not redone is the only one that still looks good.
Mine was factory painted. If yours are not painted, black plastic, make sure you apply an adhesion promoter primer first.
It certainly is doable; just make sure it is done right.

 

I also need the front bumper done. I got e today for $2000.00 to do 4 flares and the bumper. They would remove and install. I don't want to spend that much. Is it very difficult to remove flares and reinstall them?

 

Only $0.02 I have is to take them off carefully and not to break any of the plastic tabs on the fenders themselves. I just had mine painted and i broke one on accident so it is easy to do. Re install is super easy but the clips are not cheap imo.
