I drive my truck like a truck, and I have big tires and armor and subwoofers and it only rattles when I am bombing fire trails. Even then I don't grow a vagina about it; I just turn the music up.

    Solid. As. Fuck.

on my new 2011 door seal rattled, head rests rattled, dash rattled.

Welcome to the world of plastic cars. Chevys/Ford both rattle as well.

Want to remove rattles, start hunting them down and finding a way to remove them. I have 3 rattles left in my truck interior and I fixed maybe 20 so far.

    A little a this, a little a that...
A lot of the plastics and foams are biodegradable too now which will make it worse over time. Still, what the OP is experiencing isn't right. I'd raise hell.

those little panels that hold the PW switches are notorious for rattles. Put some foam between them and the door panel at the front and back. Also the little pendulum thingy in the seat belt that locks the belt. that rattles and is pretty close to your ear. annoying. But those get drowned out by the rattles coming from my new f-ing escort radar.

2008 with 112,000 miles, non-JBL, driven like a truck. Only rattle is from the aftermarket stereo mount when floating over washboards. If I ever replace my slowly dying AVIC I'll fab up a steel subframe that supports the head unit better than the plastic mounts on the Scosche kit.

Didn't see that one coming. I remember when you bought that 2014 Off Road.

Was your Off Road made in Texas or Mexico?

It was 1k under msrp for a 15. It's a pretty loaded truck, jbl system nav and all that crap. The 12s and 13s were like 32-33k with certified warranty. The only reason these trucks are still worth a premium used is because they don't undersell them from the get go. So paying 1k under msrp was fine deal to me. They paid very well for my trade in too. Either way, this has nothing to do with my brand new truck rattling.

It is rattling from the subwoofer and door bass. The jbl option is 2k+. Sound deadening, or assembly failure. Whatever it is, a bunch of shit is rattling with 50 miles on the odometer and now an additional a pillar vibration starts at 750 miles. I'm just asking if this is normal, cause both of my first gens had full systems. Neither of them rattled and each had 150k+.

It's a truck yes. However I've had plenty and none of them rattled like this, I've actually never owned a vehicle that rattled like this from a stereo ever. Just feel like someone else said, these trucks may not be as good as they use to. I ordered 120 sq ft of raammat and the foam padding package. Should I need to do this to a brand new truck though? Shit no. Won't ever buy one again.

Its kind of a hit or miss with these trucks, my 14' interior did not rattle but had issues with wind noise on front passenger door, my 15' has no issues with wind noise but front passenger seat rattles, rear driver's side seat squeaks and rattles and section around radio rattles, all at 5k miles on the odometer, it does not bother me but I will definetly be more thorough on my next purschase.

Hopefully the mat helps. I've had rattles on most of the vehicles I've owned. Luckily my Tacoma hasn't had anywhere near as many little nit picky issues.

Thanks guys. I will put my faith in the mat and ensolite. I mean there is nothing behind the headliner, not even anything securing the end of the headliner against the back wall. I can put my finger on it and it bounces off the roof.

120 sq ft will give me enough to cover everything I want easily. $500 and all my time should had better solve it. That's all I'm saying. I did try the dealership I purchased from and another local. Both told me it would be $139 an hour to inspect then labor. So I could be at $500 before long there an get jack shit fixed. Just pretty poor service offerings to boot.
