His problems start with having a shitty dealer. Mine took 3 times to fix the window whistle on my Tacoma, but at least everytime I could tell they reduced the whistle and definately tried to fix it. Eventually they got it 100% right and I'm sure some poor tech will know better for next time. They never complained once about seeing my truck multiple times for the same issue. Same with the rattle in my door. They got it fixed after a single try though.

You just need to be smarter about where you buy your vehicles. Check to see if the Toyota dealership owner of your problem child owns any other dealers. Avoid them to. Ask your friends and family about which dealers have gone the extra mile for them. Buy your cars and trucks there. It's really that simple.

Ironically my girlfriends childhood friend is the daughter of the service manager there. Got me nowhere, my corolla was serviced there for a year with zero issues. To be fair I had no reason to doubt the dealer, and there's just no excuse for a new vehicle to be like this.

Like I said, it's just a losing deal at this point.

My uncles best friends college room mate is Dark Lord of the Sith but it won't get me into the premier of Star Wars 7 lol. That's this thing about friends of friends.

I'm sure my wife could change the oil on your Corolla too. Would you like her to take a look at your shake and bake truck?

Lots of sarcasm there BTW. I'm just pointing out that most vehicles vibrate to shit, especially trucks. If you buy a similarly equipped model of GM, Ford, or Dodge you'll find the sub rattles the piss out of the truck. My Tacoma is fine, but my 2014 Dodge 2500 rattles all the time. So did my first truck, a 2002 Sierra. Neither of those trucks I owned had plastic sub boxes to blame either.

    GLHF with the mat.

I had a buzzing in the same spot. Was the black wrapped wire harness just under the glove box vibrating against the metal bracket thing that it sits next to. Wedged a small wad of black hockey tape in between the two and it has been silent since.

I sound deadened the piss out of mine. After what happened is it moved the panels closer together, then in places they rattle/vibrate off each other. So it's like you get rid of a lot, then more pop up.

I also get the occasional buzz/rattle from the center console...near the shifter or by the cupholders. Something around the drivers side window chatters every now and again also. I'm pretty sure most vehicles contend with this sort of thing.

II hear you. I never expected shit from the dealer nor the free maintenance. When I go in for free service and I get an oil change and full fluids/rotation, and out the door in 30 minutes they seemed pretty on the ball with things.

I'm a huge smartass too until you screw me over. Even then I tried being open to a mistake being mended. I don't expect too much from this truck, I traded in a 2006 dodge 2500 with a decent system in it. All door speakers amplified, and a 600 rms watt sub. I don't give a shit if it's not competition quality, it was plenty to compare to this jbl system. It didn't rattle at all. At least nothing to bitch about and that was a 9 year old truck.

My ford ranger didn't rattle, neither of my first gens rattled, my ecoboost f150 didn't rattle, my corolla with factory sub doesn't rattle. Every vehicle listed was a truck with aftermarket system exceeding/equal to jbl with sub except the corolla and I had ZERO of these complaints about it. I didn't buy this truck to satisfy my urges to bitch, it's really just that bad with matching service to follow.

My girlfriend and I spent the other night drinking and sound deadening my truck. :D

Did the headliner, back 18" from glass forward. Covered the box where it contacted the floor and wall. Completely covered the entire back wall and then 18" of the floor.

I started with one box which was 40 sq ft. I still have a few sheets (24"x12") remaining. I've done the doors complete coverage, the back wall and headliner as described, a section of floor, and misc pieces like the door panel trim pieces, ect.

The stereo sounds much improved, all vibrations are gone except maybe twice I've gotten tiny vibrations at loud volumes. I will adjust padding/areas covered with time or as needed. For now, it sounds great though. The raammat and ensolite worked awesome for me, no odors, great adhesion properties and even better results.

got rid of my 2014 offroad 3800 miles many rattles, steering wheel vibration, passenger seat was falling apart or coming loose somewhere, rear springs really squeaky, box not aligned with cap, always sounded like there was a window down always heard air noise from somewhere, waited for dealer to get a Pro, went and traded for my pro the same day they got it,,, not a rattle or noise of any kind, 4000 miles so far, i think they need to take more care when building the mass produced models,, like i mentioned before in other threads the 2 trucks are like day and night,, the offroad was terrible,, it must have been made on an off day,, not one complaint with the pro yet,,

side note had a 2001 offroad for 12 yrs, after i traded it in on the 2014 offroad, a week later, i wanted it back,lol.. 12 yrs old itdid not have one rattle

Wonder if its your windshield rubber seal. I get this on occasion. Only when there is a strong crosswind and I am going 75 on the highway.

I got a rattle after a t bone crash. It didn't rattle before the accident and rattled like heck after the accident. I took it back to the body shop and sure enough he had left his flashlight in the bottom of the door.

Well I ended up sound deadening the whole truck, I forget where I left off communication with this post. I did that, even had to deaden the switch panels on all doors. It was quiet though, worked great for anyone looking at sound deadening products.

Unfortunately, the truck was totaled about 2 weeks ago. It saved my life and I walked away almost unharmed. Considering what the truck went through though, it did what it needed to do.

mine has a windshield rattle. when its doing it really bad i can push outward on the upper passenger side corner area and duplicate the noise. seems like its gotten worse since it warmed up. taking it in soon for my next oil change and having them look at this and the wipers have suddenly turned really noisy

other rattles I have/hadmy passenger seat rattles when nobody is in it. the windows rattle sometimes depending on how far down they are and my dash rattled until i shoved hard drive foam between it and the windshield

my 09 had awful rattles when i bought it, since then i've managed to 95% completely fixed.

the biggest issues was the dash and with a little pipe foam it's GONE. my glove compartment rattled but after tightening all the screws it's GONE.
