    None... sigh
I'd hold off and keep checking the inventory at an actual Toyota dealership. Get their warranty and have their techs working on it. Just my $.02

Is dealer warranty worth getting? If I understand correctly, this kind of warranty is tied to that particular dealer, unlike extended factory warranty.

I don't know if this is the case. Seems like "Toyota Certified" would suggest the company is standing behind the warranty and not just the dealer.

OP mentioned 2013 model. Gotta believe this truck is going to be "Toyota Certified" at that young age.

I ordered a 2013 TRD OR 4x4 manual transmission. The 6 speed sucks. 1st and 6th are geared too low. Reverse geared too high. I traded 11 months later for a 2014 TRD OR 4x4 Automatic. Very Happy that I did.

    Don't get the manual transmission.

Ok thanks guys. I will check the carfax. At only 19k it has factory warranty left and at least one covered service visit. Carmax warranty can be honored anywhere but I won't buy it. I'll see how 1st and 6th feel. I've heard and read so many mixed opinions I'll just have to see for myself.

OP there seems to be a pattern here here from others who have had the 6 speed manual transmission,....."don't buy the 6 speed manual transmission."

For sure skeptical at this point. I will be driving it tomorrow after I get off work. They were kind enough to transfer it for me at no cost from nashville and agreed to hold it 3 days. I'll have plenty of time to really try it out to see how it compares to my old faithful 94. Going in with low expectations on how I will like the tranny.

Ok rest of story. The taco at carmax was rode hard and brought in wet. Dings, dents all over the thing along with scratches all over the interior. Skid points underneath beat up pretty good so somebody sure had fun. Just not worth it to me...even if it was priced "fair". Instead I found a 2012 access cab sport with a 6 speed off of original owner. Bought it yesterday. It was same money but was in excellent condition, 25k miles and had a bed lid, decent running boards, better radio, homelink, etc. here it is!

Toyota should honor the rest of the factory warranty, and at that point you can decide if you want to extend the warranty. Some do, a lot don't.

For a little bit more than that, I got a Toyota Certified, with a Toyotacare 5 year, 105K warranty (125K-OM). Paid 1K for the extra warranty.

I think carmax has decent prices. They make their money in hosing the person selling them a vehicle.

Take the CARMAX price to a Toyota dealership and see what they can do for you. I almost bought an extended cab as well but the wife talked me into waiting and I ended up with a DCSB a week later which I enjoy more. Good luck.

not my experience. I bought a Jeep for the ex and they were $2k higher and would not budge. I even called corporate office on it.
