Clunk/Pop from drivers floorboard

265/75/16 with OME 886 driver side OME 5mm spacer. I haven't seen any rub marks from the tires on anything in the fender area.

I appreciate the input, keep it coming. I'll check things off the list as I go.

Fronts are brand new, thanks to OME replacing them under warranty.

 

At least check the LCA cam bolts.. mine was hand tight..

They're tight but I'll get the Torque Wrench out and check them again while I check the body mounts vv

Did you do any brake work recently? This is probably unrelated, but I'm gonna post it anyway (since I am so relieved the damn "brake-click" is gone):

 

Nope no brake work. Check all four cab bolts and they are tight (34 ft/lbs).

 

Do you have your swaybar on?

 

as stated a few times already.. I had a clunk/sloppy feeling/pop in my front end. this last weekend I torqued every bolt I could get my hands on.. and between that, and this little mod..

..my truck feels brand new. everything is solid, no play, no popping, etc.

 

Gonna have to shove something in that gap tonight!!! It's not too sloppy right now, but I always like it tight! Maybe some rubber in there, I would like to stiffen it up when I take her for a rough ride in the dirt.

Seriously though.. that mod is incredible. It took up the little play in the steering that was there.. and it is rock solid now. One of my favorite mods to the truck to date. It blew my mind the difference it made.

 

I noticed mine clunking/popping a few months after bringing it home. It would do it mostly around corners, and it was pretty loud with the windows down.

I put Billies on the front and found one of the Cam bolts was frozen in place. I lubed it up with penetrating oil, and it hasnt popped since. Its on my short list to do eventually though. Hopefully your replacement cam bolts take care of it. Good luck.

 

Just tried this, got rid of the numb feeling in the steering.

Seriously. I did this and tightened down the body mounts (driver side front was looser than the others) so we'll see if it got rid of the clunk under the floor board.
