Does anyone own one of these OR-FAB Skid Plate / Cat Theft

Ok, I'm just not getting this... Someone goes under your truck and cuts of the cat. Why would a piece of sheet steel stop the guy ??

 

thiefs want to steal stuff in the least amount of time, they don't want to be monkeying around with a plate. they'll go to the next tacoma, they're all over. anything can be stolen. just like telling people why put a hose clamp on your tailgate, they're gonna steal it anyways. these are just theft deterrents.

 

I'm with Can. This will just get stolen along with the cat, unless you weld it on

 

I'd be in for a GB.

 

Put it on with security bolts that require a special tool that is not very common. Better yet, several different security fastners requiring several different tools. That will also drive your mechanic crazy when he has to remove the plate to access stuff under it.

 

Just heard back from the guy and he is looking for possible numbers to decide whether or not to do it. So I told him 10 or more depending on price

 

Okay so the guy told me he doesn't know how, or what to do for a group buy. And that I should contact the company directly. So give me a day or do to get this rolling. On another note I have a Wheelers Icon 2.5 Coilover group buy starting soon. I can't post the price but it is the same price for extended, or standard. Also included the spanner wrench, and Allen wrench tools

 

Did this group buy ever happen? I'm if the total cost is $135 or less I'm interested.

 

Are we still trying to get a group buy on this? I might be interested if GP price is right. People still interested?

 

OR-FAB was bought out and closed there doors July 1, 2016. Facebook page says they will be back soon. .... Phhht!

I just found one of the last few of these out there and bought it immediately.
